Irish Vintage Scene Ltd currently has a vacancy for a full-time, in-house graphic designer. Irish Vintage Scene have been using a top classic freelance graphic designer for the last six years, but now wish to bring this position in-house to expand the business. The candidate will also be tasked with the company’s online presence, social media, marketing and branding. While the candidate must have experiences in graphic design, experience is not necessary for the other roles. Chernobyl Child Aid Run & Model Show this weekend.

A road run in aid of Chernobyl Child Aid will take place in Loughrea on Sunday the 25th of March next, leaving the Loughrea Hotel & Spa at 11.30am. This event continues to grow in popularity, and the funds raised are used each year to help pay for the costs of local-man Francie Conway, who takes part in a convoy to Chernobyl to deliver much-needed aid.

The event is open to all types of vintage vehicles, and will have two routes, one for tractors and the other for cars. There will be stops in Kilchreest, Craughwell and Carrabane, with all participants finishing back at the Loughrea Hotel where there is dinner available for all drivers for just €10. New Club

A new club has been formed in Co. Waterford, entitled the Yesteryear Motor Club. At a meeting on the 18^th of January last, members elected Noel Coffey as Chairman, Michael Flynn as Treasurer and Pat Cliffe as Secretary. The club will be attending events in the coming months, and we at Irish Vintage Scene look forward to hearing more about them in the near future. Cortina Club Ireland Run

The Cortina Club Of Ireland are kicking off their 50^th anniversary celebrations for the Ford Cortina at the Dunboyne Castle Hotel on the 27^th and 28^th of April next. As per usual with their Spring Run, participants will meet in the hotel on the Friday night; on Saturday morning the organisers have a very interesting run organised, which will be followed by a gala event on the Saturday night. For many years this has proven to be a great event with a huge attendance, and this year they expect it to be even bigger to mark celebrations of the 50^th anniversary year. Breffni Vintage Club Autojumble this weekend

The ever-active Breffni vintage club will kick off 2012 with an autojumble and vintage and classic sale in Ballinagh, Co. Cavan on Sunday the 11^th of March. This will be one of the club’s first events in what will be a busy year for them as they celebrate their 21^st anniversary during the year. Mad for Models Show this Weekend

Mad for Models Show

The 3^rd Annual Mad for Models Farm, Construction & Truck Show will move to a new venue this year when it takes place on the 10^th and 11^th of March next. The new venue is the Dolmen Hotel on the Kilkenny Road in Carlow, which is just off Junction 6 of the M6, so is easily accessible. This year’s event will be bigger than in previous years due to the increased space available, and we wish Tommy and Madeleine all the best and hope to pop in to get a few shots for the magazine. The Innishannon Steam and Vintage Rally will take place on the

June Bank Holiday Weekend 2012 Sunday June 3rd & Monday June 4th

It is the largest rally in Ireland with over 25,000 people attending the 2 days.
