Retro Classics Issue 7 (Oct-Dec 2012)

Description

The October to December 2012 issue of Retro Classics is now on sale, and as you’d expect it is packed from cover to cover with the best of Irish retro and classic cars. Our cover car this issue is a real stunner, a rare two-door Corolla KE70 that has been restored to perfection. However there’s also the small matter of a throttle-bodied 20-valve 4AGE under the bonnet! Our other feature cars cover all bases, and include a mean Mk1 Escort track car with Cosworth turbo motivation and the most complete and detailed E30 BMW M3 you’re ever likely to see. A freshly-built Mini racing car also figures, as does a Mk1 Golf with a 2-litre twin-cam shoehorned under the bonnet, a 6.6 GTO-powered Pontiac Firebird and a beautiful example of one of the most delectable Vauxhalls ever produced; the Chevette HS.

Events-wise it’s another full house as we bring you coverage from a hugely varied selection of shows, meets and runs from all over the country and beyond. The Neal Egan Run is in there, as are the Castlewellan and Fermoy VW shows; the last Retro Stock trackday features strongly, and we have reports from the Capri Club of Northern Ireland’s annual meet, the BMW Big Meet Weekend in Athlone, the OVCI Ted’s Opel Run and the Cork Old-School Toyota Run, as well as many, many more. Add to this our usual favourites like our buyers’ guide, Diary Dates, In The Works, Retro Club Scene and our News & Products section and you’ve got yourself another bumper issue.
