Grade-A MGA

One of the most shapely cars of the 1950s, the MGA marked a bold new direction for MG as it moved away from the traditional upright pre-war styling of previous models. That curvaceous bodywork makes it a difficult car to restore today, but the Kinsella family have done this Dublin-assembled car proud.

Long-Distance Leylands

We’re all highly attached to our vintage machines, but would you go to the trouble of bringing your pride and joy all the way to Australia, and even back again? Mark Kenna did, and has enjoyed plenty of adventures behind the wheel of his classic Leylands.

The Ugly Duckling

Never heard of a Sabra? Don’t worry – neither had we, until we met Bernard Debourge and his red beauty at a classic event in Co. Cavan. Not only is this an extremely rare machine, but the story behind it is pretty unique too…

Rising Sun

There are many types of restorations, from the largely cosmetic to ground-up rebuilds. Then, right at the far end of the spectrum, there are the kinds of monumental undertakings that border on masochism. Enter John Quirke and his 1912 Sun Precision motorcycle.

Man the Pumps!

Despite the huge contribution they make to their communities, old fire engines often disappear into the ether after they leave service, never to be seen again. However, this unique Toyota Land Cruiser has remained safely in the hands of one of its former crewmembers, and remains a familiar sight around its native city of Kilkenny.
