As the UK’s favourite motorcycle insurance broker*, Carole Nash has renewed its contracts with World Superbike Champion, Jonathan Rea, and multiple world and British Superbike race winner Leon Haslam.

The pair will continue to be the brand’s ambassadors, and are both set to be amongst the biggest names to watch out for in 2016.

For the upcoming season, Leon, 33, is part of the JG Speedfit Kawasaki Racing Team on a Ninja ZX-10R. The son of former Grand Prix motorcycle racer, Ron Haslam, also rides alongside teammates James Ellison and Peter Hickman and the trio has already completed a successful first round of testing at Jerez and Aragon.

Jonathan, 29, is a member of the Kawasaki Racing Team. Last year Rea won his first World Superbike Championship and has been named Irish Motorcyclist of the year for the fourth time. As well as Leon, he is also riding a Ninja ZX 10R.

Rea, who has already set the standard high this year by winning three out of four races and once again is leading the FIM Superbike World Championship in Thailand, said: “I’ve worked with Carole Nash for a number of years and love what they represent as a biking brand – they have a genuine passion and real care for motorcyclists.”

Leon Haslam, who is going to take part in quarterly Twitter Q&As on Carole Nash’s @insidebikes Twitter channel, also commented on the contract renewal: “I’m thrilled to be continuing to work with Carole Nash and I can’t wait for the racing season to properly kick off. Having previously been so close to winning the championship title, I feel I have unfinished business at BSB and hope this year to make Carole Nash and all my supporters proud.”

Rebecca Donohue, Head of Marketing at Carole Nash, added: “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with both Jonathan and Leon for a number of years and we know our customers are big fans of the guys, just as we are. We can’t wait to see how well they perform in their upcoming races and we expect to see a lot of podium wins for both.”

Carole Nash is also still working closely with the world famous Honda Ron Haslam race school, which it has been a longstanding supporter of for many years. Here riders can experience the thrill of Donington Park GP circuit, as well as having an introduction to high performance bikes. The school also offers training to improve biking skills and help motorcyclists to understand the finer points of riding.
