Event Announcements Signal Hope for 2021 Show Season

As the end of 2020 draws near and talk of vaccines and improved treatments in the fight against Covid-19 increases by the day, classic vehicle clubs and event organisers are showing a renewed optimism for the 2021 show season, with several dates being announced recently.

The Carlow Vintage & Classic Motor Club are looking ahead to next year with confidence and have released the dates for their two always-anticipated shows. The annual Duckett’s Grove show will take place at this unique venue (above) on Sunday the 9th of May, while their main annual rally and show will take place on the 14th and 15th of August at Tyndall College in Kilkenny Road.

Following the postponement of the Autojumble & Collectors Fair that was scheduled to take place in Nutt’s Corner in Co. Antrim last November, the organisers have announced that it will now take place on Saturday the 27th of February. Also in autojumble news, the hosts of the popular Kilkenny Autojumble events at the Castleinch Venue on the Callan Road (above) have set two dates for 2021: Saturday the 20th of March and Saturday the 23rd of October.

With their fabulous BMW M3 raffle prize now presented to its lucky winner, Pat and Brid Murphy have announced that the 2021 Gerard Murphy Memorial Classic Car Show & Run will take place on the 3rd of October, with more details to be announced shortly.

The green shoots of hope are certainly sprouting as we move into the New Year, so let’s hope that more events will be announced in the near future, and that more of these events will be able to take place successfully in 2021.
