Description

The October 2016 issue of Irish Vintage Scene (Issue 125) is on sale now, and there’s no missing it on the newsagents’ shelf thanks to the mouth-watering classic on the front cover. This Jaguar E-Type roadster is a V12 manual, originally sold in Ireland but which has spent a long period of time living on the continent – it’s been in its current ownership for thirty years, except for that time when it was swapped for an almost new Ferrari… Our second feature car is rather different, yet just as cherished in its own family – this beautiful Opel Kadett C has been through an in-depth restoration in order to prepare it for a very special wedding.

Moving to tractors, our main story this month outlines the restoration of a very fine International 785, a real up-and-coming classic of the eighties, while our second tractor feature is a proper rarity, a recently restored Massey Ferguson 178 with a 4×4 conversion done by Four-Wheel Traction in period. Our featured motorcycle is a stunning 1969 Honda S90, the sporty little machine that kick-started many riding careers, while our commercial story looks at the lovely story of a Fordson Thames E83W truck that has never left its locality since its purchase new in 1956. Our list of show reports includes the Kilbroney Vintage Show, the NEVCC Mosney Car Show, the Waterford Truck & Motor Show, the RIAC/IVVCC Picnic in the Park, the Innishannon Steam & Vintage Rally and more besides, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your October 2016 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today!
