Description

The December 2017 issue of Irish Vintage Scene (Issue 139) is now on sale, and our cover car this month is a real rarity, an exotic British GT that’s one of only 500 made (and about 300 survivors) – this Jensen CV8 has been carefully fettled by its Limerick owner over the last decade, and so we couldn’t resist going for a spin to sample its power and luxury. Our second car feature marks the 50th anniversary of the NSU Ro80, one of the most ambitious and advanced saloons ever, while we also look at another rarity, this time from down under, in the shape of a Morris Major Series 2. You’re not going to park beside another Fordson Dexta like our main feature tractor as it’s a unique creation from its owner’s imagination, while our second feature brings you the tale of a rare little Massey Ferguson 25. Our motorcycle feature this month tells the story of one of the only Laverda Jotas in the country, while our commercial feature is about an ex-German Army Ford Transit ambulance that’s been converted into a very cool camper. We even have a bonus feature on the home-built steam engines created with skill and passion by a well-known enthusiast from Castlewellan, plus lots of event reports including Mountbellew Vintage Show, the IVVCC Brass Brigade Run, Waringstown Cavalcade, Picnic in the Park, Mondello Park Historic Motorsport Festival, Fairyhouse Automobile Show and many more. All of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your December 2017 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order here online!
