Description

The February 2020 issue of Irish Vintage Scene is now on sale. Gracing the cover of this month’s issue is a beautiful Hillman Imp that’s a rare survivor of the Rootes assembly operations in Santry in Dublin, and which has recently been restored and returned to the road after many decades lying in very poor condition. Our second car feature is another small car built on the island of Ireland, but is like no other you’ve seen before – this Nobel 200 microcar was manufactured in Belfast, but the project didn’t thrive and these cars are practically unknown today. Our main tractor feature this month is on a 1947 Allis-Chalmers WC that’s travelled from the US to Australia to Ireland in its life, while our second outlines the collection of one Co. Clare enthusiast that contains some very impressive machines. Our featured motorcycle this month is a 1980 Honda GL1100 Gold Wing that was restored as a tribute to a late father, complete with matching side-car, and our featured commercial vehicle is a stunning Ford Anglia 307E van. Event reports in this issue include the Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival, Gerard Murphy Memorial Run, Swords Classic Show and more besides, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your February 2020 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order (or subscribe) here online!
