Retro Classics Issue 14 July-September 2014

Description

The July to September 2014 issue of Retro Classics Magazine is now on sale, and as always is stuffed with some of the finest modified classics in Ireland. On the cover is a real eye-catcher – the Celica RA28 is one of the most desirable classic Toyotas around, particularly the 2000GT model, and the one we feature this issue stands out even more thanks to its RAL orange paint and super-wide wheels. A very impressive, home-built SWB Audi Sport Quattro also features, as does a subtle Opel Kadett C with an XE red-top hidden under the bonnet. For Ford fans we’ve a rare Irish Mk2 Granada 2.8i Ghia that’s been restored to perfection and a funky Mk1 Escort restored by a father-and-son team. You’re guaranteed to be blown away by the crazy 1949 Oldsmobile on page 42, while a stunning Oettinger-tuned VW Golf G60 rounds off another hugely varied issue. Events-wise we’ve the whole country covered, from action from the historics at the Killarney Rally of the Lakes to the Loughgall Festival of Motorsport, plus the Kilbeggan American Car Show, DubShed 2014, the IEC Inishowen Run and lots, lots more. Remember the reader’s survey in the last issue? Well we’ve extended the closing date for online entries to the 1st of August, meaning you’re still in with a chance of winning a €200 voucher from Tallaght Powder Coating for your trouble. We’ve also a buyer’s guide on one of the most iconic coupes ever: the Mk2 and Mk3 Ford Capri. Add to all this our Club Scene section, News & Products and Diary Dates listings and you’ve got another jam-packed issue.
