The Right Hook

You don’t come across many Dodge vehicles in Ireland, despite some being assembled here many decades ago. You come across even fewer that have been restored to the standard of Hugo Smith’s ’64 Polara 440, and what’s more, it’s right-hand drive!

Tug of War

With Fergusons being so very widespread in this part of the world it’s unusual that you come across one that’s a true rarity. Well, with only 178 ever built, and only a dozen or so surviving, Raymond Browne’s ex-RAF TET20 airfield tractor certainly qualifies.

Blue Collar Classic

The Corolla K30 of the late seventies was once an everyday family car, with nothing more than the daily grind on its horizon. Today however, their extreme rarity has made them highly collectable and fondly regarded, and Albert Reid’s car certainly fits both descriptions.

The Universal Japanese Motorcycle

The tale of motorcycling from the late sixties onwards is interwoven with that of the rise of the Japanese manufacturers. Much of their success came from their perfection of the ‘UJM’, or ‘Universal Japanese Motorcycle’, format, and this month we look at two examples of the breed.

Vantastic

Remember the Peugeot 305 van? I’ll wager that you do, because in Ireland they were highly popular and hugely respected for their ability and reliability. You never see them restored though, which makes Valerie White’s very special indeed.
