The long-awaited 2022 edition of the Gerard Murphy Memorial Classic Show & Run took place in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford on the 2nd of October, and was another mammoth event that attracted in the region of a thousand cars, by our own rough reckoning. While we will be bringing you a full report on this event in an upcoming issue of the magazine, we’ve been asked to pass on the thanks of Pat, Brid, Shelly, Jamie, Nicole and Kenneth Murphy, who say: “Thanks to everybody who supported the draw, and to all car, bike, tractor and truck owners for your continued support for what we do.”
The organisers have also shared the results of the much anticipated draw for a fabulous 1969 Ford Capri Mk1 and other great prizes, which took place after the run returned to the show venue on the day. The lucky winner of the Capri was Paddy Connolly from Oylgate, on a ticket sold by Jimmy O’Connor, so our congratulations to Paddy, and it’s great to hear that the car will be staying in Co. Wexford.
