Founded in 1990 by Howard Pugh, Herefordshire, England-based H.J. Pugh & Co have been successfully providing auctioneering, valuation and estate agency services throughout the UK for almost 35 years. As well as regular sales of antique furniture, agricultural machinery and vintage tractors, they also provide a comprehensive service for those interested in the sale or valuation of all types of collectables.
Now, the company is delighted to launch H J Pugh & Co (Ireland) Ltd, their Irish auction business. Their first live and online auction will be held in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway on Saturday the 23rd of March, and will include vintage, classic and later tractors, vehicles, implements and some spares. Senior partner Howard Hugh has been conducting auctions for over fifty years and has made many friends and clients in Ireland in that time, and so is excited about the fresh adventure of conducting auctions in Ireland. Items already consigned in this first auction include a Turner tractor, Austin tractor, Ferguson tractors and implements and an early fire engine, while further selected items may be included by the owners’ agreement. The owner has a secure yard and loading facilities, and more details will appear in the next issue of Irish Vintage Scene Magazine.
