A member of the club walks away with a bargain. lets hope it dosent gather dust. Stuart Nash educating some of the many admirers on his 1968 1600E. All i have is one more word to say about this car. Stunner. The Abbey Manor Hotel in Roscommon Town hosted the event and as you can see this was a great success further enhancing the profile of the Irish Ford Escort Owners Club. The Irish Kidney Association being the chosen charity for this event The Club also put on a slideshow of photographs taken atevents from last year and dates of up and coming runs too which was good to see. The sight of these didnt do our Ed in Cheif any favours as he had bought a set of wheels a few weeks ago and all he wanted was the caps. Mabey next time Tom. This GRP 1 Rocket Box mated to an RS 2000 is some piece of kit. I wonder what stories this holds Unfortunately the shell did not sellon the day but its contents flew out the window such was the interest in parts on the day. Took a quick Photograph of this Lady after she ferried us Home. Thanks Jaffa. When i took a look at all the cars in the car park i still coundnt resist this MK 1 in Red. Having been reared in the back seat of one of these sticks. IMG_8061 Atlones own David O Learys 1984 Capri cloaked a 24V Cosworth engine under the bonnett. Bang Tidy or what! Evidence of some heay lifting lay at the side door of the hotel with its partner ontow. we just AKA Jack. Gerard and Andrea Burke from sligo stood in for a quick Photograph with their MK 1 Ford Capri in their ownership for the past 22 years. For those early MK 1 Mexico Here is one example that you can definately call a practical classic.
