Description

The January 2020 issue of Irish Vintage Scene is now on sale, and, this is traditionally our Christmas issue, to mark the end of 2019 we look at two of the major car anniversaries from the last twelve months. The first is the Ford Anglia 105E, a family saloon that, despite its radical styling, was a huge sales success from its launch in 1959, and we drop in on two owners to examine the attraction of these cars. The other anniversary machine is also a family saloon, the BMC Farina range, and here we look at an unusual LHD Austin Cambridge with a well-travelled back-story. Our main tractor feature this month is the lovely story of one Fordson Dexta’s return to the family farm it worked on when new in ’62, while our second outlines the restoration of a locally-registered Field-Marshall Series 2 by the Longford Vintage Club. Our featured motorcycle this month is a rare Irish-registered NSU Superlux that won ‘Top Restoration’ at this year’s Leopardstown Bike Show, and our featured commercial vehicle is a stunning classic Toyota Hilux pickup. Event reports in this issue include the Carlow Vintage & Classic Motor Club Show, Dundalk Motor Show and more besides, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your January 2020 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order (or subscribe) here online!
