Events for this coming weekend, 26-28st May

Well another weekend is upon us, the sun is  shining, and if Met Eireann are to be trusted then it’s set to stay around for the weekend. If so, it’s a perfect opportunity to get out to some great events. Here’s a look at what’s on offer for the weekend.

For Irish Vintage Society members and lots of other vintage enthusiasts, all roads will lead to Ballyfin in Co. Laois where the Irish Vintage Society’s All-Ireland Vintage Rally takes place. The Ballyfin Vintage Club have put in huge effort for this, and it’s sure to be a great day out for all ages.

If it’s classic cars and bikes you’re after, then you need to head south to Youghal in Co. Cork for the annual Classic Wheels Ireland show taking place at Farrell’s Bar, Summerfield, just on the outskirts of this seaside town. The show is preceded by a run on the Saturday too, and it’s always a great weekend overall.

If you’re looking for some autojumble, well then you have to head west to Glenamaddy in Co. Galway for the North Galway Vintage & Heritage Club’s Autojumble. This event takes place twice yearly and has become very popular with traders, attracting some of the best jumblers in the country .

The Duhallow Vintage Club will attend the annual Mallow Home & Garden Show at Mallow Racecourse in Co. Cork, where they will put on a big vintage display as part of this very popular event. The event runs for three days, from Friday to Sunday.
