The 43rd Galway Classic Motorcycle Rally will take place from the 28th to 30th of April on the unique roads of Connemara, with route sheets provided along with an optional timed element. This year’s Rally will be again located at the Clifden Station House Hotel, and is open to all classic two- and three-wheeled, pre-1993, motorised vehicles. This year the organisers are celebrating the BSA brand to mark the 85th anniversary of the Gold Star and the 75th anniversary of the Bantam, and are delighted to announce that the guest of honour will be Mary Smith, also known as ‘Mary Motorcycle’ for her solo travel around the world on her BSA Bantam in the 1960s. Mary will be flagging off the first rider at 10am on Saturday the 29th in the centre of Clifden, and will be making a slide presentation of her travels later that evening.
