Retro Classics Issue 9 April-June 2013
The April to June 2013 issue of Retro Classics Magazine is now on sale, and is fully loaded with some of the finest retro and classic cars in Ireland. On the cover is one of the finest examples of eighties hot-hatch technology, a 1986 VW Golf GTi that has just been restored to an impeccable standard. A stunning Mk1 Escort Mexico also features, which really stands out thanks to its bubble arches and Focus RS orange paintwork, while at the other end of the spectrum we showcase a slammed rat-look Citroen 2CV that doesn’t really have any paintwork at all to speak of! Two unique feature cars this issue aren’t what they seem, namely an Opel Manta with BMW M5 underpinnings and a Mk3 Ford Escort with Scorpio Cosworth running gear, and we also take a look at one of the most successful MGs in Irish classic motorsports. A hot-rod 1951 Mercury and a mint BMW E30 325i round off a highly varied issue, which is also full of event reports, a buyer’s guide on the Subaru Legacy RS, an extensive listing of upcoming diary dates and lots, lots more.
