Description

The April to June 2016 issue of Retro Classics Magazine goes on sale today, and as always is packed with features and event reports from the world of classic, retro and motorsport cars in Ireland. On the cover of this issue is a jaw-dropping BMW 3.0 CSL – it’s original Irish, its bright orange, and it’s dropped on big BBS wheels, so it’s as unique a classic road-burner as you could ever hope to see! We also take a look at two more rare sports coupes, namely a highly-desirable narrow-body Opel Manta 400 road car and a capably-modified Toyota AE86 Levin GTV, and also a triple-punch of Ford stories comprising of a recently-restored Mk2 Escort RS2000, a pair of motorsport Anglias and a Mk1 Escort Mexico with a unique family tale behind it. A blindingly yellow Chevrolet Corvette rounds off another highly varied issue of features, while on the event report front we’ve a wide selection including the Retro Targa classic rally event, the Ger Murphy Memorial, Race Retro, the Derek Walker Trial, the amusingly-titled ‘Not the Boxing Day’ Trail and a look at some of the best cars from the Lancaster Insurance NEC Classic Motorshow in Birmingham. Add to all this our Club Scene section, News & Products and Diary Dates listings and a buyers’ guide on the Mk2 Ford Escort and you’ve got another un-missable issue.
