The Chairman of the Dungarvan, Co. Waterford-based Yesteryear Motor Club has announced that the club will not be holding its annual Show by the Sea at Walton Park in Dungarvan this year. “We were really looking forward to seeing you all again this year in what would have been our eight time running this great event in such a wonderful location,” Noel Coffey explains. “We had everything in place for this year’s event, but with Covid-19 still a big issue here in Ireland, and social distancing so important in beating it, we have no choice but to cancel it.
“We intend being back bigger and even better in 2022, and look forward to seeing you all back again in Dungarvan on the June Bank Holiday Weekend next year for the Show by the Sea,” Noel continued. “Finally, we wish to thank Tom and Irish Vintage Scene Magazine for your photos and coverage in the past, and hope it continues in the future.” It goes without saying that we at Irish Vintage Scene look forward to attending this excellent event again in 2022, when hopefully the spectre of coronavirus will have passed and the old vehicle hobby can thrive once again.
