The RIAC Pioneer Run

The RIAC Pioneer Run is one of Ireland’s premier car events, and is open to all cars over 100 years of age. The 2012 event was based at Barberstown Castle in Straffan, Co. Argory Vintage and Classic car show 28th April 2012

The 2012 Argory Vintage Show took place on the 28th of April. This annual event is held on the grounds of Argory House, a National Trust property near Dungannon, Co. Armagh, and this lovely setting always attracts some fantastic exhibits, as you will see from our photos. If you get a chance to attend this show in the future, we highly recommend it.

Donegal 2012

The Donegal Vintage & Classic Car Club held their annual show on the grounds of the Clanree Hotel on the 13th of May this year. This very active club always turn out some fine exhibits, and this occasion was no different. Lakeland Vintage Club Rally & Autojumble

Held as usual on the grounds of Newcastle House, Co. Longford, this year’s Lakeland Vintage Club’s annual rally and autojumble basked in glorious weather on the 6th of May last. 

Tractor World 2012

In contrast to the highly varied classic events we usually enjoy in this country Tractor World Ireland, as the name suggests, stands out on the show calendar as it’s a highly specialised show targeted at the tractor enthusiast.  

20th Vintage Pratt Run

A firm date in many peoples’ diaries is the Celtic Old Vehicle Owners’ Club’s Norman Pratt Memorial Run. With this year being the 20th anniversary it was heartening to see such a strong and diverse turnout of vehicles and bikes, with in excess of 100 machines turning out for the day.  

BALLYMENA STEAM RALLY

One of the highlights of the show calendar for steam and tractor enthusiasts in Northern Ireland is the TECU Steam Rally that takes place each year in the Ballymena Showgrounds. The event attracts enthusiasts from all over Ireland, and as well as the great steam exhibits, the stationary engine and working displays are also always a big hit. LIMERICK GRAND PRIX 2010

In 2010 a group of enthusiasts got together to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the 1930s Grand Prix held on the streets of Limerick, which was known as the “Round the Houses Grand Prix”. WEST RUN 2011

The 2010 West Run attracted well over 100 cars from all parts of Ireland, bringing the participants from Galway City to Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare. The trip to Co. UK NATIONAL TRACTOR RUN

Each year in England there is a national tractor run that brings hundreds of tractor owners together from all parts. LOUGHREA RUN 2011

Each year the Loughrea Vintage Run takes place in March to raise funds for Chernobyl Child Aid. Organiser Francie Conway is one of the many truck drivers that take part in a convoy to bring donated goods to Belarus.
