Issue 145 (JUNE 2018)
The June 2018 issue of Irish Vintage Scene (Issue 145) is now on sale, and on the cover this month is one of the most sought-after classic Fords of today – the pre-facelift Capri Mk1 was one of the company’s greatest designs and successes, and the original Irish example we feature this month has been restored to outstanding condition. Our second feature car is another legendary success story, although much more utilitarian, as in this 80th year of the VW Beetle we feature a unique and desirable 1968 1500 that’s never needed restoration.
Our first feature tractor tells the story of a Massey Ferguson 135 that has recently returned to the farm where it was bought now following a long absence, while our second is a very fine Ford 4000 that again has another long family significance for its owner.
Our motorcycle feature this month looks at a sporty little Bianchi Bernina 125 sold new in Co. Kilkenny, while our heavy-vehicle feature is on the Dennison family’s own, beautifully-restored Dennison 265 double-drive tractor unit. Event reports include Newcastle Indoor Show, Tipperary Vintage & Custom Show and London Classic Car Show, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your June 2018 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order here online!
