Description

The December 2018 edition of Irish Vintage Scene is now on sale. On this month’s cover we mark this year’s 50th anniversary of the Ford Escort by visiting one owner to check out just some of his hoard of Mk1s, including one that he’s owned for forty years and has taken around the odometer three times. Our second feature is something rather different as, to coincide with the launch of her eagerly-anticipated memoir, Driven, we drop in on ex-rally driver Rosemary Smith to find out more about her career and her ex-works Hillman Imp rally car, which she still enjoys taking on classic runs today.

Our main tractor feature this month tells the story of one enthusiast’s passion for the legendary Field Marshall, and the story behind his restoration of no less than four, plus a few half-sized replicas for good measure. Our second tractor is a very correct Nuffield 10/60 that’s been restored to a beautiful standard.

Our featured motorcycle this month is a classic Suzuki GXSR rebuilt in a vintage cafe racer style, and our commercial vehicle feature looks at what must be the best RHD Nissan Patrol 160 in existence anywhere. Event reports in this issue include the Mondello Historic Festival, Kilbroney Vintage Show, the IVVCC Brass Brigade Run and lots more besides, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your December 2018 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order here online!
