Description

The May issue of Irish Vintage Scene is on sale now, and as usual is packed with over 100 pages of news, event reports and great features. On the cover this month is one of the most recognisable classic saloons out there; the Rover P6. This particular example is a rare Irish Series 1, and is a treasured by its owner following his long search for the ‘right’ car. A pair of Ford Capris owned by a father-and-son team also feature, as does a stunning Auto Union 1000 Coupe and a freshly-restored Morris Minor with a fantastic Kilkenny registration number.

Our lead tractor feature this month recounts the story of a beautiful David Brown 780 that has been in the same family since it was bought new in 1969. A rare French-built Massey Ferguson 130 is also featured, which has been through a recent and arduous restoration. Our motorcycle feature is a change from the norm in that it concerns a unique pair of customised classic bikes, while our commercial feature tells the tale of two brothers and their AEC Mandator trucks.

Our extensive event coverage includes full reports from the Newcastle Classic Car Show and the ‘Mad for Models’ model show, as well as many other meets and runs from around the country.
