Description

The February 2016 edition of Irish Vintage Scene (Issue 117) is on sale now, and to begin the celebrations for this, our tenth year in existence, this issue contains a massive reader giveaway worth a cool €2,000!

This month’s cover car might look commonplace at first glance, but when you look closer you realise that several things aren’t as they “should” be. This seventies Mini Clubman is, in fact, an Australian-built version rarely seen in this part of the world, and has many unique features that will stick out a mile to any serious Mini fan. What’s more, it’s unrestored, having only covered 30k miles with its original lady owner in its time. Our second feature car is another family favourite, but from an earlier era – A Ford Popular 103E that’s been restored to remind its owner of the first car he ever drove.

Our main feature tractor this month is a beautifully-restored Massey Ferguson 65, a model you don’t come across every day, while the second feature is something out of the ordinary as it focuses not on a tractor, but a rare Ransomes trailed combine harvester that’s recently returned to its previous home after an absence of 35 years! On two wheels, our motorcycle feature this month looks at a 1976 Honda CB400-4 that’s been stunningly rebuilt in a café-racer style, while our commercial feature showcases a very fine classic long-wheelbase Land Rover Series III.

An extensive list of show reports in this issue includes the Ballinakill Classic & Vintage Vehicle Owners Club’s Portlaoise Indoor Motor Show and the Swords Classic Car Sale, Show & Autojumble, and with all of the usual favourites are in there too, plus our mega giveaway worth €2,000, you won’t want to miss the February 2016 issue of Irish Vintage Scene – get yours today!
