Description

The December 2016 issue of Irish Vintage Scene (Issue 127) is on sale now. It’s been a year of anniversaries, and this month we look at yet another – the 50th birthday of the Fiat 124, one of the most important cars in the company’s history. There were several, very different variants in the 124 family, and here we take a look at the main three, namely the saloon, Spider and Sport Coupe. Elsewhere in the magazine we feature an extremely rare, and possibly unique, original Irish-registered 1936 Ford Model CX Tourer with a great history, and another rare soft-top in the shape of a 1954 Sunbeam Mk3 DHC, a rare example of this model.

Moving to tractor features, our first is an unusual machine here in Ireland, a SAME Leopard 85 that’s been restored to fantastic condition, while we also bring you a Ford 4000 that’s been rebuilt at home. Our feature motorcycle is an early eighties BMW R65 that’s been tastefully customised by its owner, while our commercial story looks at a 1955 International pickup with bags of character. Our long list of show reports includes the Gowran Park Festival of Speed, the 52nd Stradbally Steam Rally, the Barack Obama Plaza Vintage Show and more besides, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your December 2016 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today!
