Issue 163 (December 2019)
The December 2019 issue of Irish Vintage Scene is now on sale, and our cover story this month celebrates another of this year’s important car anniversaries, and that’s the fiftieth birthday of the Fiat 128, a model that’s hailed as giving rise to the modern family saloon as we know it. To mark the occasion, we meet four 128 owners and their beautiful classic Fiats. Our second car feature comes from the other side of the Atlantic and a completely different era, as we check out one lucky lady’s 1957 Ford Thunderbird. Our main tractor feature this month outlines the top-notch restoration of a Massey Ferguson 165 with a local significance for its owners, while our second tractor is a rare Ferguson TEP 20 industrial with very unusual bodywork and a host of other special details. Our featured motorcycle this month is a 1916 Sunbeam 3.5hp that’s still in stunning order following its restoration in the 1990s, and our featured commercial vehicle is a unique Ford Transit recovery truck. Event reports in this issue include the Shane’s Castle and Stradbally Steam Rallies, Kilkenny Motor Club Show and more besides, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, so don’t miss out – get your December 2019 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order (or subscribe) here online!
