February 2007, Issue 9

–       THE MAGIC OF THE FORD CAPRI: Eamonn Cunniffe first purchased this Capri new in 1969, and used it as the family car. He still owns it, and has recently restored it to its original condition.

–       JOHN HANLON COLLECTION: Irish Vintage Scene are given the privilege of opening the doors to one of the most amazing tractor collections in the country, belonging to the late, great John Hanlon from Cooley, Co. Louth.

–       PANTHER KALLISTA: Certainly not a car manufacturer you will hear about every day, Panther made some very nice, bespoke cars in their day, including the Kallista roadster, powered by good old Ford parts.

–       VW KARMANN CABRIO: For the budget-conscious sun-worshipper of the sixties, the Beetle Karmann Cabrio was an ideal package, sporting coachbuilt good looks and that legendary Volkswagen reliability; here we take a look at a US-spec ’68 in an attractive primrose-yellow hue.

–       SIMCA ARONDE: Gerry Barrett introduces us to a real French fancy, the Simca Aronde, which was in many ways a Gallic Ford Thunderbird.

–       BSA BANTAM: Andrew Pollock meets with the owners of a 1953 Bantam D1, which has only ever had one name on the logbook and has racked up over 150,000 miles in its lifetime.

–       ALLDAYS & ONIONS: The oddly-named Alldays & Onions company produced cars from 1898 to 1918, later merging with Enfield to further their cause.

–       SHOW REPORTS: Event reports from the Mercedes-Benz Gordon Bennett International Rally, Killarney Historic Stages Rally, Mayo North Old Engine & Tractor Club Show and Dorset Steam Fair.

–       PLUS: All your monthly favourites like Ten Best, Laid to Rust, News & Events, Diary Dates, Your Letters, Pastimes, classifieds and lots, lots more!
