Description

The June 2017 issue of Irish Vintage Scene (Issue 133) is now on sale, and on the cover this month we showcase a beautifully-restored example of one of the finest saloon cars of its era: the P4 Rover, which was viewed as radical when introduced in 1949. We also look at another legendary saloon in our second car feature, the redoubtable Mercedes W123, one with a unique Irish history in this case. Our main tractor feature this month tells the story of a rare industrial-spec Massey Ferguson 35 that’s been restored by the nephew of its long-time owner, while our second introduces us to the youngest plough-person we’ve heard of, with her very own International 384. Our featured motorcycle this month is a Sunbeam S8 which, like its S7 forebear, is a tale of what could have been for its now-extinct manufacturer, while our commercial feature brings us up close and personal with one of the most beautiful split-screen VW buses we’ve ever seen. Our event reports include the Carole Nash Irish Motorbike & Scooter Show at the RDS, the London Classic Car Show and the Fingal Vintage Society’s recent Massey Ferguson commemoration event, and all of the usual favourites are in there too, including a new regular slot about the people behind the magazine, so don’t miss out – get your June 2017 issue of Irish Vintage Scene today at any good newsagent, or order here online!
