Description

The June issue of Irish Vintage Scene is on sale now, and as usual is packed with over 100 pages of news, event reports, great features and a whole lot more. On the cover this month is one of the most stylish small cars you could buy in the seventies. This Opel Kadett C Coupe is only on its second owner, and has survived in excellent, original order. Indeed, the present owner only had to repaint and service the car to get it to the fantastic standard you see here! We also bring you the story of a 1938 Morris 10/4 that was rescued from the harsh Ontario winter and brought to Ireland for a full restoration, as well as a lovely Leyland Beaver tractor unit that has also just reappeared after a rebuild.

Motorcycle fans will no doubt get a dose of nostalgia from our two-wheeled feature, which looks at a collection of little 50cc Japanese bikes of the kind that would have kick-started the riding career of many readers, while our main tractor feature showcases one of the most stunning Fergusons you could ever hope to see; this Galway-based FE35 ‘Copper Belly’ recently took second in class at the prestigious Tractor World event in Malvern, England, an indication of its quality of finish. A visit to a David Brown enthusiast in Co. Offaly rounds off our varied features, while we also bring you full event reports from the Durrow Vintage Show and the CMRVC Motorcycle Show in Cork plus a roundup of other events from all over the country. Add to this our usual mix of club news, diary dates, readers’ correspondence, model section, period photos and, of course, Laid to Rust, and you’ve got another jam-packed issue of Ireland’s finest motoring magazine.
