Description

Buy the November issue of Irish Vintage Scene here, and is an absolute must-read for anyone passionate about the old vehicle scene in Ireland. Our main feature this month is rather special in that it brings together no less than three stunning red Triumph TR6s, each of which reflects the philosophy of its owner in relation to the use of classic cars and their originality. Elsewhere we meet one active enthusiast and his Ford Capri Mk2, while also bathing in the elegance of a Humber Sceptre MkII.

On the tractor side we have two really special machines featured this month. The first is one of the holy grails for any Irish tractor fan; a Fordson N built in Cork’s Ford plant in 1930; this example was built for export, and worked in Nebraska all its life before being brought back to Ireland to be given a new lease of life. Our other tractor feature details the creation of a bespoke four-wheel-drive Ferguson TE20, which has been carried out to the very highest of standards, so it’s certainly a mixed selection this month!

Our motorcycle feature looks at the Honda CB400 and Morini 350 of two Co. Clare enthusiasts, who love nothing more than tackling the scenic back roads of their home county on their classic steeds, while commercial fans will have to be impressed by the gigantic Oshkosh brought to us by Stephen McEvoy. Amazingly this American beast has worked in Ireland from new, and is one of only three R-Series models ever built.

All of the above is joined as usual by a huge array of event reports (including full coverage of the National Ploughing Championships), plus all your favourites like Diary Dates, Laid to Rust, Retrospect, Readers’ Letters and lots, lots more.
